milkwhite
This world premiere by Anthony Donald Kochensparger was presented alongside pool(no water) by Mark Ravenhill, directed by Mara Stern. Both pieces were performed in the same evening with opportunities to drink and discuss throughout the evening.
POP WAITS
I was the associate director on this production with the Neo-Futurists, directed by Halena Kays. "Partners and performers Malic White and Molly Brennan both struggle with depression and rely on music to yank themselves out of despair. With the help of a live band and the audience (that’s YOU), White and Brennan summon the sacred powers of their heroes, Iggy Pop and Tom Waits, to write a song of their own."
A. O. The Trunk Show
I directed a piece from The Homosexuals by Philip Dawkins. The show will tour from September 2015 - December 2015.
Salve Regina, A Coming of Gay Story
A solo piece acted and written by Javier Rivera and tells his story. The piece was presented in Michigan, NYC (where Javier received the best actor award from the United Solo Festival) and Chicago at the Center On Halsted.
Sad Songs For Bad People
Part puppet show, part sales pitch, part murder ballad review. This show toured around the East Coast and Midwest.
Spring Awakening
I adapted and directed the play Spring Awakening with Fearless Theatre.
Endgame
I assisted Helena Kays on Endgame with the Hypocrites.
Who Rowed Across Oceans by Danielle Littman
After about a year of workshops and rehearsals this world premiere ran for about a week in different venues across Chicago before traveling to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The play is based on an obituary in The New York Times of John Fairfax, who rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in 1962 and the Pacific Ocean in 1972 "because they were there." This piece explores the question: 'how does a life get lived?'
Macbeth + As You Like It + Romeo & Juliet + Julius Caesar + A Midsummer Night's Dream with Chicago Youth Shakespeare
I was the Youth Ensemble Director of Chicago Youth Shakespeare, a fantastic program that brings students from all over the city together to create hour-long Shakespeare performances.

In the fall of 2013 I assistant directed the Chicago premiere of 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog, directed by Kimberly Senior at Northlight Theatre!
